This Silver beauty was built by JPS Motorsports out of California and has approximately 6000 miles on it since the build. The gentleman we purchased it from in Texas owned it for about 2 years and was told that the original build date was right around 2014. If you are not familiar with these replicas you will be extremely impressed with the build quality and fit and finish on this car. For those of you more familiar you know how hard it is to locate a used Coupe on todays market and the wait time from builders is several years. Finished in a beautiful Silver Metallic this custom JPS 356A Coupe replica features a steel reinforced ,hand laid fiberglass body with awesome fit and finish. Body line gaps are excellent and doors open and close with ease and the feel of the quality of an original. Rear Windows pop out for added air flow. This particular car has front and rear bumper guards, leather front hood straps and the European styled amber and red tear drop taillights. Correct Porsche badging will be found in addition to the Custom Coachworks badge on the passenger front fender and some cool engine grille badges. Overall the body is in fantastic condition with just a few minor rock chips and tiny scratches consistent with a car that has been driven and enjoyed as well as very well cared for. Complimenting the Silver metallic exterior is a black leather interior that looks very authentic as well. Seats are quite comfortable and come with head rests which are removable. Door panels with chrome door pulls in excellent condition as is the black leather dash. The dash itself is painted in Silver metallic and features and authentic set of VDO gauges including a GPS speedometer. Clock in the dash works. An original style radio is mounted in the dash for looks but the stereo is a Bluetooth unit that you can play music from your phone or other music device. There ia a wireless charger mounted to the dash where you can place your phone via a magnetic holder and then speakers are mounted in the front kick panel areas and a subwoofer mounted under the front of the dash with amp. mounted in front trunk 3-point seat belts for driver and passenger Power window work great. Ice cold A/C from the under dash air-conditioning unit and this car also has the traditional heat vents as well. Black carpeting looks great and a brand new set of black/gray coco mats were just put in the car. Interior looks awesome and has that sweet smell of leather.
Of course this 356 Coupe performs as good as it looks and one of the great things about these replicas is you get a car with significantly more horsepower than an original with better stopping power as well. This one has the 2110 cc dual carbureted motor putting out about 125 hp. The motor was brand new at the time of the build. It is mated to an awesome 3.88 Freeway flyer transmission that provides great torque in 1st-3rd and then a great cruising 4th gear for easy highway driving when needed. Handling is awesome with the Independent Rear Suspension ( IRS) and braking is true and easy thanks to the 4 wheel disc brake set up on this car. Wheels are the 5 lug slotted wheels that were painted in gray and wear a brand new set of Porsche emblem hub caps and wrapped in great set of Falken Radial tires. The previous owner told us that the Odometer that was in the car when he got it was resetting to 3511 miles each time he would start the car. He told me he put about 1500-2000 miles on the car in the almost 2 years he owned it. We decided to replace the Speedometer with a new unit from VDO that has a GPS Speedometer and mileage currently reads 255 miles on the new Speedometer so I believe the car currently has under 6000 miles on it. Oil was changed with Valvoline VR1 10w/30 synthetic and this car is ready to drive and enjoy! This 356 Coupe is a blast to drive!!!
These cars are built on a totally reconditioned VW IRS 5 x 205 Chassis and of course the floorpans look awesome. This makes these cars very easy to register in pretty much every state and smog exempt. This particular 356 Coupe is built on a 1969 Pan and is Titled as a 1969 Volkswagen. Front trunk area looks great and has the amplifier neatly mounted and a battery cut off switch installed as well.
