This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe is finished in silver over a silver and black interior and powered by a replacement 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Rally-style wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, chrome trim, quad headlights, bucket seats, AutoMeter instrumentation, and a Pioneer stereo. The car was repainted and the replacement engine was installed before it was acquired by the seller in December 2016. Additional work completed under prior ownership included installing an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum radiator, a Painless Wiring wiring harness, an Ididit tilt steering column, and a B&M shift lever. This Chevelle is offered with spare parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted silver under prior ownership and features chrome trim on the bumpers, grille, window surrounds, and side mirrors. The 15″ Rally-style wheels wear hubcaps and radial tires. Equipment includes power steering along with power-assisted front disc brakes with rear drums. A spare wheel is mounted in the trunk.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in white vinyl with black cloth inserts and joined by black door panels and a black and white dashboard. Additional equipment includes a floor-mounted B&M shifter, a heater, rubber floor mats, vent windows, and a Pioneer stereo.
The four-spoke steering wheel with SS center emblem is mounted to an Ididit tilting steering column. AutoMeter instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges indicating coolant temperature, voltage, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer indicates under 5k miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 350ci V8 was reportedly bored 0.030″ over before it was installed under prior ownership and features an Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum radiator along with a polished air cleaner cover and valve covers. A replacement Painless Wiring wiring harness is installed, and the oil was changed in May 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. There is a fluid leak where the speedometer cable meets the transmission.
