This stellar Ford Tudor Sedan was built meticulously by the former
owner of 16 years, who performed a nut & bolt, body-off restoration
between 2006-2008. It retains an all-steel body & fenders which
were all stripped to bare metal and fully epoxy primed along with
the original frame. He then had the inner fenders undercoated for
added protection from road debris, before having the topside
repainted in a 2-stage fashion to show winning standards! All
exterior stainless steel moldings, emblems and trim were replaced
including door handles, chrome grill, bumpers and mounting
brackets! Note the front nose scuff plate to protect the paint
against any obstacles. This restorer was not new to custom
restorations having built multiple show winning vehicles before,
with full intentions of driving his collection vehicles to multiple
events each year.
The detailed process of this restoration can be seen everywhere you
look. The firewall was recessed 5" inches to better accommodate the
new drivetrain, along with upgraded bear claw door latches on the
doors, the removal of the door vent windows to fit new, one-piece
side glass as well as a one-piece front windshield. At the rear, a
small 3rd brake light was flush mounted into the body for a slick
addition to added safely, along with front & rear seatbelts. The
entire car was meticulously wired with a 22-circuit panel by
American Autowire along with a fully insulated interior and trunk
compartment for improved interior sound quality!
Underneath, the original chassis was fitted with Chassis
Engineering's independent front suspension system using Heidt's Hot
Rod Shop tubular upper & lower control arms, heavy-duty shocks,
power rack & pinion steering, Master Power Brakes electric vacuum
power front disc brakes; and Chassis Engineering's parallel leaf
spring set-up and adjustable QA1 shocks at the rear. It
incorporates both front & rear anti-sway bars for superior road
manners. On the ground are 15" chrome steel wheels with moon
hubcaps wrapped in wide whitewall radial tires measuring 205/70R15
up front and 225/75R15 at the rear!
Only high-end appointments were selected for this custom including
stainless steel gas tank, fuel & brake lines, braided brake hoses,
transmission cooler lines, and power steering hoses. The engine was
outfitted with a Walker brass & copper radiator with Cooling
Components electric fan & shroud; serpentine belt system, Mallory
HEI ignition, aluminum intake with Holley Street Avenger
carburetor, electric fuel pump, Sanderson block hugger headers,
Magnaflow mufflers, Megs oval exhaust tips, and more! A large
binder is included with the sale highlighting every aspect of the
build, wiring diagrams, and replacement part component numbers.
Also included is a storage car cover, two extra chrome hubcaps, and
2 sets of keys! A custom Ford Standard Tudor Sedan you really need
to see in person to appreciate the level of time and effort
involved to make it both a solid driver and equally beautiful show
winner! Act quickly and thanks for looking!
