This matching number, original color combination V8 Volante enjoyed
long term California collector ownership prior to being purchased
by a collector from Connecticut. It moved to the East coast of the
United States only a couple of years ago. Already in excellent
condition, but in USA trim, it was entrusted to Autosport Designs
for a full service, maintenance needed to bring to exceptional and
ready to use condition throughout. It was decided to convert to
European chrome bumpers, PoW front valance perform a complete brake
and suspension service to as new condition, the addition of a
Harvey Bailey handling kit and 16 Ronal type wheels. Further
upgrading included: Complete interior retrim to include PoW type
center console with cubby box, PoW Nardi wood steering wheel,
Factory wood shift knob, a stereo system to include bespoke
Lincoln-Scott door pockets with speaker enclosures, a new
convertible top and top bow to as new condition with cloth PoW
convertible top. Mechanically, the engine has been upgraded to big
bore 6.3 liter X-pack specification to include factory big bore
European airbox and stainless steel exhaust system. Dyno tuned, it
now produces 485 bhp with 510 ft/lbs of torque at 4000 rpm quite a
bit more that your standard V8 Vantage specifications.
This V8 Volante 6.3 has been used approximately 1,500 miles since
the above-mentioned work has been performed and only during the
Spring and Summer seasons.
Therefore, the V8 Volante on offer is truly a bespoke Volante in
the true Aston Martin fashion, restored and uprated at considerable
expense. It is in exceptional and as new condition throughout and
complete with its original manual and factory tool kit. Also
included, complete ownership history, service history as well as
all receipts for the above-mentioned maintenance, restoration and
upgrades.
