Vehicle Description
We could call this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle a Super Sport tribute,
but it's so much more. There have been investments in this midnight
machine to give you a fully-built performance 454 big block,
four-wheel disc brakes, an overdrive transmission, upgraded
suspension, and a comfy A/C interior.
This coupe is about extra aggression. It starts with the classic
pieces, like the power bulge of the cowl hood, blackout grille, SS
badging, and hood pins. The painted white racing stripes look
especially good against black. Plus, the modern 17-inch polished
wheels add to the sporty stance while complementing the bumpers
with shine. The black paint has the right look for a mean muscle
car. The overall fit and finish are about a car that looks good at
the intersections but gives you the driver quality feeling that
doesn't make you nervous about having fun in-between the
stoplights. And as you keep digging into all the details, you'll
really see this custom was built for really enjoying on the
road.
The interior keeps the dark side feeling going, and there are
plenty of upgrades for both performance and comfort. In fact, you
see both in the front bucket seats that have body-hugging
bolstering you could never get in the 1970s. And all the other
fundamentals including carpeting, dash, and door panels have a
clean and complete presentation. There are more comfort features
such as a cup holder center console, a retro-style AM/FM stereo,
and cold-blowing air conditioning. The sports steering wheel is
grippy, and beyond that is an upgraded Dakota Digital gauge package
that gives you crisp dials with a cool blue glow.
The engine bay is mean and clean. This is a 454 cubic inch V8 big
block that's said to be bored .030 over and has only 200 miles on
it since this rebuild. The full package is enhanced and fortified
with hypereutectic pistons, Howards Cams Rattler camshaft, and an
upgraded crankshaft. It has a full Edelbrock upgrade suite with a
750 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Performer intake, finned black
Edelbrock valve covers, and a matching air cleaner. There's even an
aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to keep everything cool.
The motor fires up readily and makes a sweet tune out of the
header-fed dual exhaust. The 700R4 four-speed automatic
transmission has a Hughes Performance stall to be the right mix of
power driving and overdrive comfort. You even have four-wheel power
disc brakes, power steering, and an upgraded rear suspension to
make sure that this upgraded muscle machine is also an easy
cruiser.
The sale comes complete with service manuals and owner's manual.
This is a seriously powerful SS tribute that also has the right
comforts to be a fun all-around driver. Call now!
