Concept Transporters has never been known for building the average,
the minimum, or the basic. When Bruce Canepa founded the company,
he envisioned bringing his design skills and intense attention to
detail to the trucking/transportation industry. 35 years working
with major automotive and truck manufacturers, clients asking for
projects that few could undertake and bring to reality, Concept
Transporters has become synonymous with forward thinking, design,
quality, ingenuity, and utility.
The vision of this project started with a Peterbilt 587. Bruce
wanted to create the ultimate transporter to fulfil the demands of
transportation for specialty vehicle to race or show events. With a
complete "Canepa Design" aero kit including front bumper,
full-length sides skirts and front spoiler, along with a lowered
front suspension, give the Peterbilt a unique and stylish look. In
addition, the Peterbilt also received upper and lower composite
fairing extensions, which allow for access to the back of a custom
sleeper storage compartment. The tractor also includes DOT aluminum
race fuel tanks with pumping system with a capacity of 255
gallons.
On the exterior, the Peterbilt received the Canepa Design
Monochromatic paint option which includes side rear view electric
mirror assembly, CB antenna bases, door handle assemblies, cab grab
handle bases, bumper/spoiler assembly, side skirts, etc. Graphite
metallic finishes including front grill insert and hood side air
vent screens. To finalize, the Speedline European wheels were
powder-coated in graphite metallic along with the wheel hub
covers.
Behind the Peterbilt, is a "state of the art" Concept Transporter 6
car semi-trailer. Featuring a 6,000lb hydraulic liftgate, Concept
interior ramp system with hydraulic rear ramp for larger cars,
driver's lounge, air compressor package, observation deck, enclosed
awning package (including awning extensions to end of liftgate and
tractor), and others listed in detail bellow.
Complete, ready to go, and loaded with features to make any
automotive event as easy and enjoyable as possible.
