Vehicle Description
So, you've undoubtedly checked out the photos of this awesome Chevy
pickup, and you've probably formed a few thoughts and opinions.
Indeed, this classic is a very cool custom that was built to turn
heads. And yes, it is capable of sitting on the ground and
effortlessly transforming into the centerpiece of an octane-laced
art exhibit. However, this trick truck isn't just some stiff show
queen that's been wrapped in pretty paint. It's a bona fide show
stopper that can also be easily cruised down the strip! Looking for
an exclusive classic that poses well and kicks asphalt? Check out
this choice Chevy!
INFERNAL GREEN
When you set your sights on creating something legit and truly
unique, you just can't go wrong starting with vintage Detroit
style. Thankfully, the folks at Classic Auto Body of Granite Falls,
North Carolina certainly know how to massage attractive factory
fodder into a sweet, show stopping custom. Fiberglass fenders
strung across a steel cab, a steel bed, a steel hood and steel
running boards, this Chevy methodically transformed from a cool
project into cool headliner. A big reason for that headlining
status is a sinuous profile that was bathed in Metallic Green base,
licked with brilliant flames and sealed in a glossy layer of clear.
And today, this truck rolls as a dreamy pavement pounder that's
poised to claim trophies and sure to turn heads!
Of course, it takes more than slick paint and a few body
modifications to impress the hot rod crowd, and a closer look at
this beast reveals a roster of impressive detailing. The show
starts with an ornate Chevrolet grille that hangs a subtle MQQN
Equipment badge between smooth marker lamps. Alluring '39 Ford
headlights lead sculpted fenders, which lead glossy running boards
that are notched around boxed exhaust tips. A four-piece hood
stretches classy stainless in front of a clean greenhouse that
reflects shaved doors in polished billet mirrors. Behind that
glass, stainless-trimmed wood hoists a polished nitrous tank
between a flush fuel filler and a custom enclosure for the truck's
trick air ride. And that bed is secured by an artsy tailgate that
employs cool GM seatbelt latches above LED taillights and a custom
roll pan.
STROKED POWER
Pop the hood and you'll find 383 cubic inches of spry Chevy stroker
that wraps a whole lot of show around a whole lot of go! At the top
of that 495 horsepower mill, a tidy air cleaner dumps wind through
a big Holley 4-barrel that's wired with stainless lines, an
electric choke and a quality Lokar linkage. That coated carb caps a
chromed Edelbrock intake, which feeds aluminum heads that are
dressed in polished breathers and chromed valve covers. The fires
get lit by loomed Accel Super Stock Radio Suppression cables, which
milk a hot MSD distributor. Polished Concept One pulleys cinch
pliable V-belts around a polished water pump, modern power
steering, a polished AC compressor and a polished Powermaster
alternator. Spent gases traverse coated block hugger headers.
Cooling comes courtesy of a proven Walker radiator, which fronts a
quick electric puller fan. Naturally, the clean engine features
first rate details, like trick sticks, billet tanks and a coated
Holley fuel pump. And the truck's compact engine bay wraps braided
coolant lines, a polished brake booster and billet hood hardware in
clean Metallic Green paint.
MODERN DRIVE
The bottom of this awesome resto-mod is just as impressive as its
slick exterior and tidy engine bay. Behind the mean motor, a tough
700R4 4-speed spins power through a color-keyed driveshaft to a
dressed 10-bolt axle. That proven drivetrain pushes a modern 4-link
rear-clip that's garnished with adjustable AccuAir bags and fresh
RideTech shocks. Opposite that clip, a Heidts independent
front-half cages two more adjustable AccuAir bags in tubular
control arms and two more RideTech shocks. Naturally, that kit is
led by power rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners,
power-assisted calipers squeeze a quartet of vented rotors. Exhaust
is handled by custom, large-diameter pipes, which snake through
electronic cutouts and great sounding MagnaFlow mufflers. Power
rolls through painted Boss Motorsports blades, which spin
235/40ZR18 General Exclaims in front of 295/30ZR20 General
Exclaims. And every one of this Chevy's details, from its insulated
floors to its polished fuel tank, has been carefully planned and
professionally executed.
CUSTOM CRUISE
Much nicer than simple factory fodder, this pickup's supple leather
cockpit flows well with its superfly exterior. Bolstered buckets
float plush leather at the sides of a thin console that's finished
with control's for the aforementioned AccuAir suspension. A stylish
dash stacks crisp VDO telemetry behind a hydro-dipped instrument
panel, a hydro-dipped glovebox door and Pioneer touchscreen audio.
Color-keyed carpet frames billet foot pedals between custom side
panels, which stack billet handles in front of modern,
power-operated windows. And the driver spins an attractive Billet
Specialties Monaco wheel around a polished, tilting column.
Lust worthy, fully sorted and ready to turn heads, this awesome
Chevy is an excellent combination of cool looks and reliable
performance. Call, click or visit http:///www.RKMotors.com for more
