1983 Ford F350 -? 68,461 original miles ? 460 Big Block, runs fine
on regular gas. I decided to sell another one of my old vehicles.
Usually I have a waiting list for my stuff, but I'm old now, and
everybody on the list is dead. I've always been meticulous about my
vehicles, and this one is no exception. Don't get me wrong, it was
used as a truck and she has some scars, but mechanically it has
always been looked after and has never been in an accident. Here's
the story: I'm the second owner. I bought this truck locally in LA
(no cancer) in '85 with 7,000 miles on it. I needed a heavy-duty
truck to pull a 30' boat - that's why the low miles. I mostly used
it between here and the beach, 50 miles round trip. I loved the
ride with the boat, but not so much without it-too stiff. So I
removed a leaf (which improved the stance) and fabricated an airbag
system from a 5000 lb Firestone kit-problem solved. Other than
that, I don't like FoMoCo carburetors, but do like Holley double
pumpers, and have friends at Holley and Edelbrock, so that helped.
It also uses a Holley electric pump and more durable race car
plumbing. Plus, she's been desmogged - although it runs so well, it
just passed smog. Electrolysis ate a hole (externally) in the
timing chain housing, so I replaced the pump and chain (Cloyes
double roller) while I was in there. The wheels are my idea of the
new black-a nice graphite enamel, and the pads and rotors are all
new. The interior is original with new door panels, and the dash is
cracked and covered with a nice mat. The lights are PIAA 80 Pro
Works, driving lens, 12V-H3 120 watt bulbs. So this is what it
looks like with nothing more than a quick wash (no detail - never
armoralled). Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at our
