This 1969 Ford C-600 cabover has that perfect style where a true
workman's truck has earned its patina style. And that forged
personality has been transformed into pure intimidation for a
terrific rat rod. And as you look at the full package, you'll see
the adjustable air ride suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, an HD
overdrive transmission, and serious turbo-diesel power. It means
this custom-crafted big bruiser is also a thoughtful cruiser.
Real patina, stick-style exposed welds, and silver dollars covering
holes give this classic metal some serious attitude. And of course,
the COE (cab over engine) has the imposing size to literally look
down on the other classics out there. But more than intimidation,
really take some time to see the artfulness in the details. The HD
eight-lug wheels look distinct in white, especially the dually
rear. The bumper, grille, bezels, and door trim were all painted to
match. And did you see how the V8 logo up front is made from gears
and valves? Some of the coolest details also add to the truck's
usability. The mean-looking headlights are also brighter LED units.
The black side mirrors are handy modern bus units that also match
running lights and big horns on the top. And the rear section is
done with durable emergency aircraft runway paneling. So you could
just imagine adapting it to carry a motorcycle or even just set up
a BBQ for the ultimate tailgater.
The interior continues the rat rod attitude, but it's done with
style. That's why you have the late-model leather bucket seats,
steel cup holder center console, spray-in bedliner floor, and a
full oasis theme on the dash complete with a hula girl. There's
even an American flag headliner. All the gauges and control have a
vintage style, right down to the thin steering wheel. But as you
look over the full package, you'll also spot the right upgrades,
like the push-button transmission selector and air ride controls in
the glovebox.
As the COE name suggests, the motor sits under the cab, which
contributes to the commanding height and added capabilities. In
fact, the low mid-engine layout makes for a good balance. And this
motor is absolutely worth keeping on display because industrial
fans love the 7.3-liter International Harvester turbocharged diesel
powerhouse. After all, you'll love pointing out that Ford used this
IH powerhouse for decades, and so it's right at home in this custom
C-600. A hardy motor like this has everyday appeal. So does the
Allison five-speed automatic transmission, power steering,
four-wheel hydraulic power disc brakes, and adjustable comfort of
the air ride suspension. So we're not saying this is daily driver
easy, but we also bet you had a bit of that fantasy with all these
ready-to-go features.
This is the king of the rat rods, and so you know you deserved to
rest on its throne. Call today!!!
