This 1954 F-100 was the recipient of a full restoration in the
early 2000s. It has been well cared for since and certainly appears
to have been garage kept. The second generation F-100 step-side
model was offered from '53 to '56 and ones as nice as this one are
rare in today's marketplace.
The exterior 2-stage respray of Midnight Blue is in outstanding
condition. Chrome bumpers and trim are also excellent. The bed has
been refitted with light oak boards/metal trim and looks virtually
brand new. Stock 15" steel wheels with chrome trim rings/center
caps mount Primewell PS850 radials and provide a perfect accent.
The roomy interior was restored in Dark Blue/Gray hi-grade pleated
vinyl and is as comfortable as it gets. Custom headliner and door
cards are excellent and the tinted cab windows are now power
assisted. A classic 3-spoke stock wheel rests on a factory column
with a '3-on-the-tree' shifter. A full compliment of white-faced
Dolpin analog gauges are set in a custom dash module and a Kenwood
AM/FM/CD sound system (overhead console) provides your music.
Horsepower is said to now be furnished by a rebuilt Ford 292ci V8.
The Y-block is fitted with a Carter/Weber AFB carburetor and a
Thunderbird dress-up kit. It sounds great through a set of cast
iron exhaust manifolds that are similar in appearance to GM
rams-horn manifolds. A 3-speed manual transmission with the
aforementioned column shifter delivers torque to a stock
differential. The chassis is fitted with manual steering, manual
4-wheel drum brake, front/rear leaf spring suspension and a
stainless dual exhaust w/crossover pipe. This is a classic Ford
F-100 that looks terrific and runs nicely down the road. It belongs
in your Blue Oval garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
