Vehicle Description
This vehicle is located at our Indianapolis location
The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1979 Chevrolet
Corvette for your consideration. This Corvette is an excellent
story, when the current owner of this vehicle went for a ride in
this exact vehicle with his friend's father in 1984 it clearly made
a lasting impression. After a long period of storage, the current
owner purchased this Corvette before an extensive open checkbook
overall to address any issues that may have come up during storage.
Following the overhaul this vehicle has been thoroughly enjoyed by
the current owner. Powering this Corvette is a trusty 350ci V8
which sends the power to the rear wheels through a 3-speed
automatic transmission. The removable hardtops of this vehicle help
make it a perfect summer cruiser for an enthusiast looking for a
Corvette to drive and enjoy.
The C3 Chevrolet Corvette is a sports car that was produced from
1967 until 1982 by Chevrolet for the 1968 to 1982 model years.
Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the
previous generation, but the body and interior were new. The C3 is
the third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette, and marks the
second time the Corvette would carry the Stingray name. This year
reached an all-time high in Corvette popularity. Production hit its
peak in 1979 at 53,807, a record that stands to this day.
