Vehicle Description
Fun and affordable weekend adventures are a guarantee with this
1973 Chevrolet Corvette. It will keep you smiling with its drop top
enjoyment, big block V8, and the unmistakable feeling that comes
from being behind the wheel of America's sports car.
1973 was the year of the purist C3 Corvette. It was the only time
Chevrolet offered the body-colored nose with the rear chrome
bumperettes, and legendary designer Larry Shinoda had said that
this was his intentions for the C3 from the beginning (it just took
them five years to get there.) And of course, a black Corvette is
the kind of iconic appearance that everyone loves to see when it
arrives on the scene. There's plenty of great brightwork besides
the aforementioned bumpers. It includes the rocker panels, mirrors,
and the distinctive Boyd Coddington aluminum wheels.
Beneath the black folding roof is a matching interior. So, no
matter with the top up or down, you get a great coordinating color
appearance in this classic Corvette. There are some nice upgraded
touches throughout the interior, such as the Fast XFI digital
screen and the newer AM/FM/cassette stereo with digital tuner that
has a classic appearance to look factory-correct. As the driver you
get a three-spoke steering wheel. Just ahead of that is the large
dual pod gauges that have all been redone and work as they should.
Just to the side are a full set of auxiliary readouts for a true
sports car experience.
Power comes from a bruising Fast XFI fuel injected 454 cubic inch
V8 with only 500 miles since the rebuild and that has been built to
pack a punch, and it's considerably stronger than the original smog
motor. It's also dressed for success in a coat of Chevy Orange with
dress-up pieces like the black aluminum valve covers, black air
cleaner, and a blacked-out firewall. It's in order for a Corvette
you're going to drive on weekends, and there's simply nothing as
fun as a big block Chevy in a Corvette. The underside is clean,
with some new hardware as well as a dual exhaust system that sounds
amazing with a great big-block snarl. The motor fires up with ease,
and the new TH400 three-speed automatic was intended for any
heavy-duty use the Corvette could throw at it. And that's what you
want in a Corvette like this. It was built to be driven, and that's
enhanced by features like the fully independent sport-tuned
suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. The brakes are firm and
confidence-inspiring, and it rolls on a set of always-handsome
aluminum Boyd Coddington wheels. Bargains exist, and this Corvette
is proof. Fast and still looking great, you can easily own the icon
you never thought you could afford. Call today!!!
