Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: The 1973 Cutlass 442 is a seldom seen Oldsmobile gem
from the tail end of the pre-emissions era! This car is an older
restoration and it appears that it has been restored with great
attention to detail. Between being loaded with very rarely seen
options like swivel seats, sunroof, a/c, automatic transmission and
the Olds 350, this 442 is ready to rock!
BODY OVERVIEW: Fantastic. The overview of the body is that it is
fantastic. This car is very straight, and looks simply incredible.
This was clearly a quality restoration when completed, and if
you're impressed by the photos wait until you see it in person!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint on this car is gorgeous, and
extremely slick. This is a high quality paint job done at a
professional level. The gold paint with brown vinyl top is a unique
combination and this car looks stunning! Since it has been a while
since this car was painted, there are some minor defects from age
use to be found, such as light scratches. The chrome/paint-matched
Oldsmobile wheels are the icing on the cake!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The brown interior appears to be a
mixture of good-quality original parts and new items. The factory
swivel bucket seats are in great cosmetic condition, and operate as
new. The door panels and other hard plastics are in great shape,
though some areas (such as the steering column around the key
cylinder) show some normal wear.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Opening the hood reveals the numbers matching
350 cubic inch Oldsmobile V8. The engine bay has been kept largely
correct, though the most notable liberties taken are the
aftermarket spark plug wires and the aluminum 4-barrel intake
manifold. The Olds 350 simply runs great, and the exhaust puts out
a great note through the dual Flowmasters. This car fires right up
and is always ready to run!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The relative rarity of this year
model, and the striking color combination.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This one is hard to nitpick,
but if you're looking for an over-restored 100-point show car then
this one probably isn't it.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The horn, emergency brake, and air
conditioning are not currently operational.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This car has mass appeal, and
should be the right buy for anyone in search of an affordable,
uncommon classic in great condition.
