Vehicle Description
The 2006 Honda S2000 is an instant classic. After all, a
precision-built drop-top sports car with a wonderful engine and
sharp handling is a recipe that we know will always be in demand.
So to find a low mileage example in such a well-preserved original
condition is a true treat.
Nothing else looked like the S2000 when it debuted, and today, this
modern classic still holds plenty of distinction. The long hood and
sharp creases give this the steely gaze of a shark on the hunt. The
crisp look is all part of a car built with precision. This example
has only averaged about 2,100 miles annually. So you'll find some
signs of responsible enjoyment, but overall, the factory red pant
retains that kind of gloss that lets this sunshine-friendly
convertible really pop on a sunny-day drive. Factory alloys; the
headlights are clear; and everything has the feel of quality. This
is a well-respected driver's car.
The interior is a pure driver-focused environment. You get
terrifically-bolstered leather bucket seats, a grippy sports
steering wheel, and a gearstick right where you want your right
hand to be. The gauges are a digital masterpiece of clear and
necessary info. It's motorcycle-like in the way it keeps you
constantly in tune with the speed and revs (and the very
motorcycle-like 8,000 RPM redline!) And Honda really went the extra
mile to make this driver-focused. That's why there is a flip-up
panel to hide the AM/FM/CD stereo unit (to reduce
light/distraction) and instead you can control it from a
fingertip's reach of the steering wheel. And just below that is the
big red engine start button. This is a modern classic that has a
ton of features to keep you and your passenger happy, like power
windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual front airbags, cup
holders, cruise control, and power seats. The top powers down with
the flip of a switch. Plus, the cold-blowing air conditioning means
you get to stay comfortable when open to the world, even in the
summertime.
Honda's famous red valve cover makes a bold statement in the engine
bay. You can instantly see more of this car's respected life by the
extra clean presentation. While you have a long hood, the motor is
set far back so it's behind the front axle for terrific weight
distribution (and true enthusiasts will mention that when you lift
the hood at car shows.) It's not only the placement of the motor
but also what it does. This is the later second series with the
larger 2.2-liter powerhouse. The high-revving motor produces about
240 horsepower, which is an amazing feat considering there's no
turbocharger. It makes for a wonderful power package that's built
for performance confidence at all times. The same goes for the
crisp six-speed manual transmission. The strong chassis,
fully-independent sports suspension, power steering, and four-wheel
disc brakes w/ABS are all part of a well-engineered symphony of
speed. They combine with the mid-engine's low center of gravity to
deliver one of the best roadster feelings ever put to the road.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a bold red modern icon. So
while the mileage is low, we know you won't be able to resist
adding to the odometer on the back roads. Call now!
