This 1953 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck is ready to roll having been
beautifully restored to its stock configuration. 1953 was a
monumental year for the Ford with the company celebrating its 50
years in business. With little changes made to its passenger cars,
the Ford Motor Company introduced a newly redesigned truck line in
honor of its Golden Anniversary on March 13, 1953. The new-look
Ford trucks featured a sleeker, more modern look than the previous
year with the Ford emblem prominently displayed on the face of the
new wider hoods. The '53 Ford Trucks became more focused on stylish
looks and improved driver comforts, such as the new one-piece
wraparound windshields, wider rear windows, deeper arm rests,
push-button exterior door handles, and wider cabs that gave driver
more comfort while cruising down the roads. The front ends were
also significantly redesigned with the grille, in particular,
receiving a new "two-bar" treatment with chrome teeth and chrome
trimmed headlight pods. This particular '53 Ford Pickup comes to us
from a southern collector who clearly cared for the truck while
under their ownership. Powering this '53 F-100 is a 239 Cubic Inch
L-Head V8 that is paired with a single barrel carburetor which was
the top of the line option for the F-100 back in 1953. The 239 Ford
Flatty V8 is hooked up to a 3 speed manual transmission that is
shifted using the column-mounted shifter in a "three-on-the-tree"
configuration. Dual exhaust gives this Ford Pickup Truck a nice
throaty sound. Riding on blackwall bias-ply tires with Ford hubcaps
and beauty rings, this classic Ford Truck has a nice stock look
while rolling down the road. The steel pickup box and wood panel
bed is in wonderful condition and has a great look! The exterior on
this '53 Ford F100 has been refinished in its original color,
Meadow Green. The front end on this particular pickup is adorned
with a grille gauge and tow hook, completing the exterior
appearance of the truck. The interior on this F-100 Pickup is
spectacular! The bench seat has been beautifully reupholstered in
Saddle colored vinyl along with the matching door and interior
panels. The steering wheel and rubber floor mat have a beautiful
stock look and are in superb condition. The painted dash is in its
stock configuration and it's wonderful shape as well, matching the
Meadow Green exterior. The dash is equipped with a 90 MPH
speedometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, battery gauge,
and fuel gauge, with an AM radio mounted neatly underneath. Whether
you're looking to buy your very first classic pickup truck or
you're an establish F-series collector, this 1953 Ford F-100 Pickup
Truck would make an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
