We are proud to offer this rare and ravishing, numbers matching
1966 Ford Mustang GT Hardtop from MAXmotive's Pittsburgh Showroom.
The sanitary engine compartment houses the original, numbers
matching K-code 289ci 4V 271hp Cobra V8. It's teamed with a
four-speed manual transmission and 3.50:1 Locking Differential. The
GT Package brings with it such desirable equipment as front disc
brakes, the Special Handling Suspension and Special GT
Low-Restriction Exhaust with dual Chrome Tailpipe Extensions. The
car also features the distinctive chrome Styled Steel Wheels. They
stand out beautifully with the special Acapulco Blue exterior
paint. And the blue bucket seat interior presents as new. Extra
features such as the handsome wood rim Deluxe Steering Wheel and
the Rally Pac clock and tach say "well-equipped" as soon as you
open the door. It's the type of car that Tasca Ford was known for.
It is believed that this fabulous example originally was sold by
those legendary purveyors of Ford performance. An upgraded radio is
neatly installed in the stock location, otherwise the car is as new
right down to the US Royal (not Uniroyal) dual red stripe tires. It
comes with the original owners manual and an original 1966 Mustang
brochure, which is chock full of fun and useful information. The
hardtop was the lightest of the three body styles offered in 1966,
and the 271hp High Performance 289 was the top engine option. Ford
said, "If you thought we couldn't improve on a winner, try Mustang
'66. We changed Mustang very carefully." This 1966 Ford Mustang GT
Hardtop presents a great opportunity to own a special part of
automotive history. See detailed photos at www.maxmotive.com.
