For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet El Camino in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

With vibrant paint, four-on-the-floor, and proper V8 power, this 1965 Chevrolet El Camino has plenty of attitude. But when this classic also has a comfy interior, it makes for an all-around awesome cruiser.

Burnt orange sets the tone correctly for this El Camino. It has added flair but doesn't cross the line at being too flashy. And that's kind of the overall theme. It's an upgraded classic that has power and poise, but nothing that takes it out of the realm of a tasteful and practical cruiser. So the finish looks glossy in the sunshine, but it's nothing too fancy that would make you afraid to take it out on the road. The wheels are polished torque thrust style units with a useful 17-inch size that lets you fit better tires. And there's liner paint in the bed so that you can still utilize the pickup's full utility. Good chrome, complete trim, and doors that shut with confidence are all part of a quality classic.

The black interior looks great against the dark orange exterior. You can instantly tell this one is a blend of vintage style with desirable upgrades. For example, you have a classic-style bench setup, but now it's recovered with a plush velour and diamond pattern inserts. Clean door panels, a smooth dash, and good carpeting make this all quite inviting. There are even provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need serving to blow cold again.) You'll love the performance feel that comes from the grip of a Lecarra steering wheel, Hurst floor shifter, under-dash auxiliary gauges, and handy tach.

Under the hood is Chevy's 283 cubic-inch motor. It has some nice added flair with the polished air topper and valve covers. And it's a nice piece of history because this was one of the largest V8s you could get in an El Camino in 1965. But what you'll really like is that it has upgrades for performance like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer intake, and an upgraded aluminum radiator to help keep it all tuning cool. It's a strong motor, and the Muncie M20 four-speed manual transmission gives you firm control over it all. Plus, this one remains a good cruiser with power steering, power brakes, and front discs.

Complete with owner's manual, service manuals, and maintenance records. This is the practical classic pickup/coupe with all the upgrades you want already in place. Don't miss this deal, call today!
