This 1975 Ford F-250 Highboy Ranger is a really cool and very nice
mostly original truck that spent its life in Montana. This is a
true Highboy which are getting very very hard to find. It is a
great running and driving truck for someone to use as a weekend
truck or maybe even a daily driver. The body on this Highboy is in
great condition! The original tailgate is showing some use and is
beat up a little. It appears to still have all of its original
metal as we did not find any patches or bondo anywhere. This truck
was repainted at some point in its original colors of Vineyard Gold
and Ginger Glow and the paint still looks really nice. This truck
has the toolbox in the side of the bed and the underside is clean
and solid.
The interior is also in great condition and it has a really nice
reupholstered seat, newer carpet, and newer headliner. The rest
looks original and is in nice shape. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are working. The gauges work, the
heat is working, but the horn is inop. Just a really nice, basic,
original interior.
Mechanically this truck is great!! It starts easily and runs and
drives really nice. The engine is the 360 V8 that is believed to be
the original. The last owner had the engine rebuilt but we did not
get a receipt. We found no issues with the engine. They also added
an Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb and dual exhaust. The transmission is
the np435 4 Speed Manual that shifts nice with a strong clutch. It
is mated to the np205 transfer case and the 4WD works like it
should. It has a Dana 60 Rear End with 4.10 gears and the Front
Axle is a Dana 44 with 4.10 Gears. This truck has Power steering
and Power Brakes. It is sitting on a nice set of original steel
wheels with almost new Toyo Open Country All terrain Tires.
