• 1967 Ford F100 Pickup LWB:
The current F-series as we know it has been the bestselling truck
for 45 consecutive years and for 40 of those years it was the
best-selling vehicle overall in America. Believe it or not, it
wasn't until 1959 that the original F-100 got factory four-wheel
drive. And last but not least the front bumper was the longest
running unchanged component for the entire F-series from 1959-1979.
WOW!
For Sale a very nice and very cool truck right out of 1967. Lots of
nice chrome trim, a sprayed in bedliner, fantastic exterior black
paint with slight markings from expected use, but certainly nothing
terrible, and a nice fresh interior bench seat bottomed off by a
set of snazzy 15-inch white steel wheels capped by a chrome Ford
hub cap and a fresh set of Cooper Trendsetter SE White Line Radial
Tires.
Exterior:
Retired from hauling duty, this freshly completed, cosmetically
restored truck has no rust, straight panels, and beautiful paint.
Nice chrome trim runs the length of the truck on the midline, as
well as, the front and rear bumper, and grille. Bringing up the
rear is an embossed Ford logo in the all-black tailgate, and below
that, a 2-inch tailpipe tip peeks out from below the bumper. The
bed remains pristine with a fresh sprayed bed liner completed
during the restoration. 15-inch white steel wheels capped by a
chrome ford hub cap and a fresh set of Cooper Trendsetter SE White
Wall Radial Tires.
Interior:
This freshly reupholstered, Medium Beige petti crush vinyl and
medium beige Leeds pattern woven plastic bench seat that is very
nice with no tears or excessive wear showing. A look to the dash
and we note the original ford gauge panel showcasing 92,289 miles
with black face/white lettered gauges covered in shiny chrome
bezels. The original AM radio just above the heater control dials
also are in great condition. The dash top is crack free padded
black vinyl. Black carpet in good condition floods the floor.
Drivetrain
A freshly rebuilt Ford 352 cubic inch FE ""Interceptor"" V8
(factory rated at 208hp with 315 lb-ft torque) accented with a set
of Edelbrock Elite Series aluminum valve covers all residing in the
cavernous engine bay which is mated to a 3-Speed, column shifted
manual transmission. A Ford 9-inch 3.50 geared rear puts power to
the blacktop.
Undercarriage:
This truck shows exceptionally well underneath with no hints of
surface rust on the frame or suspension components. A new single
aluminized exhaust system was installed during its restoration. The
stock 4 Wheel drum brakes provide plenty of stopping power to slow
this beauty down and bring to a complete stop. A twin I-beam and
coil spring front suspension gives a nice ride and for the rear we
see traditional leaf springs. Nice and tidy would describe the
undercarriage best.
Drivability:
A quick starter, and smooth idler, a tickle of the gas pedal and
we're off! This truck runs very well, shifts smoothly, corners
nicely, and has a smooth ride thanks to its long wheelbase. The
interior is comfortable and quiet, which is to be expected because
Ford had the theory that their trucks were workers on the outside,
but car-like interiors would rule. All functions were working
during our drive and the note of the big V8 sings nicely.
This is an eye-catching example of the traditional F-100, a
fantastic driver quality vehicle that can show as well as work. No
trailer queen here, just a worker in classic form. Great running,
classic styling, and all rust free.
