A real mechanical marvel! Putting the retractable top through it's
cycle captures people's attention. This Skyliner is a factory black
car with the Thunderbird Special motor. Overall a straight, good
looking car.
EXTERIOR: The body is clean and straight. Even though it is an
older paint job, there is no rust or repair work showing. The
original trim tag says this is a factory raven black car with a
white roof. It has a very glossy smooth finish. There are minor
imperfections and touch ups if you look for them. In front the
bumper has beautiful chrome, the grill is original and it's
tarnished. The rear bumper has been rechromed. The stainless
moldings and the anodized trim are good originals, not restored.
The windshield's been replaced, it has a soft gasket. Coker Classic
radial white walls are so new they still have nubs on the tread.
The reproduction hub caps look like new. The top is functioning
very well. Everything folds, retracts and screws down with 1
switch.
INTERIOR: It's unabused, looks good but not perfect. The seats have
been reupholstered in the original type fabric and reproduction
door panels have been installed. The dash is repainted nicely. The
trim, bezels, radio, instruments are in original condition, not
beat up but showing age. There is a CD stereo mounted below the
dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the optional Thunderbird Special 312-245
hp motor. The D7 in the vin indicates it was born this way. It
includes a 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust. The valve covers are
labeled Thunderbird Special too. It features power steering and is
upgraded with a new power brake system. Overall the compartment
looks respectable. The motor runs smooth.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The top folds into the trunk space. With the top
down there's enough space for about 2 suitcases. Overall good
condition. The metal is painted black, the liner is good. The spare
is in the floor under a lid.
UNDERSIDE: It appears to be very clean, dry metal. The frame and
floor are smooth metal painted satin black. The dual exhaust system
looks recent and has glass pack style mufflers. It's been upgraded
with Wilwood disc brakes in front. It's not a body off frame
restoration but all the components look good including the bottom
of the motor and the automatic transmission.
I think this is an intriguing car that makes a wonderful cruiser.
The condition throughout appears to be good. It's a sharp
looker!

professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
