Under current ownership for 27 years, this car was in storage for the first 23 years. Beginning in 2016, a complete restoration was undertaken along with some modifications and enhancements. Since the rebuild was completed in 2019, the car has been enjoyed for 3500 miles. Please note the following:
Chassis / Mechanical
- Mustang II Front End with Disc Brakes
- New Square Tubing Frame Rails
- Rebuilt 400M V8 with KB Pistons, Competition Cam, Ported Heads and free floating rods
- New 750 Holly Carburetor, Alternator and Water Pump
- Custom 7 quart oil pan and oil pump
- New 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust
- Firewall moved back 2" to accommodate the 400M engine
- New oversized aluminum radiator with electric fan
- New Power Rack and Pinion Steering and Pump
- New Power Brakes and New Brake Lines
- New Rear Brake Drums and Shoes
- New gas tank, fuel lines and electric fuel pump
- Two new leaf springs to rear along with rear air shocks and new heavy duty shocks in front
- Rear end rebuilt
- Complete new electrical
- Battery located in trunk along with shutoff switch
Body / Exterior
- New Floor Boards, New Quarter Panels
- All rust issues removed and repaired with metal
- Chrome removed and all holes welded closed
- All underneath welds ground and cleaned up
- Bumpers straightened and powder coated black
- Grill, Tail Lights and Backup Lights replaced with those from a ‘65 Falcon (need ’65 headlight rings)
- Original hood Customized as all Metal Cowl Induction Hood
- Custom Diamond Plated Firewall
- Striking Twilite Amethyst Metallic Paint with Custom Pinstriping
- New Tires on Ford Falcon Rims
- New Fender Badging
- In need of driver's side rear-view mirror
