started in 2012 with a solid, rust free 1938 Plymouth coupe with
working crank out windshield and cowl vent. Frame off build to
represent the looks of the Gassers from the 60's. The body was
finished in Eastwood Flat Black with hand painted distressed
lettering new glass with red tint. This Gasser has a new interior
that includes new gauges, carpet, custom door panels, custom
headliner, and a custom dash with classic gauges and toggle
switches. A metal flake steering wheel and a Hoop roll bar with
helmet hook were added to complete the classic drag-feel. The
mechanical highlights include: a refurbished 331 FirePower HEMI
motor, Chevrolet 5 speed manual transmission, Chrysler 8 3/4 rear
end with 373 gears, new brakes (front disc, rear drum), new gas
tank, fuel lines, brake lines. It has a full exhaust off the fender
wheel headers, but it has electric exhaust dumpers when you get on
the accelerator.The odometer now reads 5,157 miles.All of the trim
is straight, the chrome shines and it is running on a set of
Cheater slicks on the back with classic radials on mags up front.
