Vehicle Description
1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 in excellent condition is a rare find
and highly sought after. It is finished in grey over grey cloth,
and it is powered by the original engine, a 4.0-liter fuel injected
inline-six with automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer
case. I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle. I purchased it in 2002
from the original owner, a mom with two boys (13 and 15 in 2002).
The reason I tell you this is because the original owner had
children the entire time she drove the car. Since purchasing this
car, it has been my weekend driver for surfing, Home Depot runs and
the occasional camping trip. Both owners have kept this vehicle in
Los Angeles (dry climate). It has been well maintained by a
mechanic that has specialized in Toyota Land Cruisers for 30 years.
It runs great starts up first time. It has 241k miles (which is not
alot for this vehicle) and wants to go for another 500k miles. It
is offered with a clean Carfax report and a clean California title
in my name. If you are looking to buy a Land Cruiser then you
probably know all about the original equipment so I won't bore you
with the details but rather tell you what I did to update and add
to the vehicle. In 2020, I began refurbishing the vehicle. I took
every part off the interior and exterior. Parts that were perfect I
shined up and stored to be reinstalled. Parts that were not, I
ordered from either Spector, Classic, or Toyota. I have touched
every inch of this vehicle and it is very clean. Here is what I
have done to update the vehicle. • New Professional Paint including
clear coat. o Note: Prior to painting, I removed all exterior
parts, handles, markers and emblems as well as front, rear and side
cargo windows. There was virtually no taping required to paint the
vehicle so paint job is near perfect. • Brand new carpet and
padding installed over the Kilmat (sound deadening) • Pioneer
Stereo AVH 4600 with CarPlay • New Rockford Fosgate Speakers (front
and rear) installed.
