The C/K series of trucks was manufactured by GM in 1960 and
production lasted until 2002. It was marketed by both GMC and
Chevrolet. The C series were 2 wheel drive and K series 4 wheel
drive. These trucks have become extremely popular in the collector
vehicle market and there are some die hard fans of the C/K series
out there. Shows and clubs have popped up all over the world
completely dedicated to them. The 2nd generation was made between
1967 and 1972. They were known as the "Action Line" series and
while they carried over the drop center ladder frame the exteriors
were entirely redesigned. The goal was to improve their function as
a multi purpose vehicle while also offering some of the features of
their sedans. The truck has been repainted 1 time and was done in
its original two tone White and Blue colors. The "Chevrolet"
lettering on the rear gate has also been painted White. All of the
chrome and stainless on the truck is in good shape and the Black
accented side trim looks good. The rear bed has been redone with
Black rhino liner to keep it in good condition for years to come.
Rhino liner is a great addition to these classic trucks because it
will keep it protected should you decide to use the bed to haul
things. The glass is in good condition throughout and has a slight
tint. All of the exterior lenses are in good condition and the
lights all work properly. The truck rides on the original style
Rally wheels with Chevy bowtie center caps.
Powering this classic C10 is its numbers matching original 350 V8
motor. It has the stock look under the hood with a majority of the
components being painted Black or Chevrolet Orange. The engine has
a new starter, new red top Optima battery and all new factory style
exhaust. The truck was ordered with factory power steering and
factory air conditioning but the AC system has been updated to
modern R134. It did not come with factory power brakes but it has
since been upgraded. It has discs up front and a brand new brake
booster and master cylinder. The truck runs and drives well with no
issues. The engine is combined with a Turbo Hydra-matic
transmission to send power back to the 12 bolt rear end. The front
suspension has been rebuilt and new shocks installed.
The truck was originally ordered with a Blue cloth interior but the
bench seat has since been recovered in vinyl. The door panels are
in excellent condition and topped off with its factory style
handles and window cranks. The dash has been kept very stock and is
painted to match the exterior. It has its original style gauges and
original tachometer all of which are working. All of the electrical
is working correctly including the original AM radio but it does
need 1 new speaker.
These trucks are only getting more popular so check it out while
it's still available.
