Vehicle Description
This 1988 Chevrolet K1500 Silverado 4x4 is a cool mix of
preservation and upgrades. It makes for an impressive classic that
still has everything you want - including a fuel-injected V8,
cold-blowing A/C, and four-wheel-drive.
This was the first year for the new style Chevy C/Ks. It's a design
that was so sleek and interesting, that you can still see echoes of
it in the brand new Silverados. That's why people love them, and a
few special ones received good care over the years. That's how you
get such a complete pickup like this one. But there's more going on
here than just preservation. After all, Chevy never gave you this
kind of shining front end. The bright grille goes with the chrome
bumpers and polished 18-inch alloys from a later Silverado. So not
only does the glossy paint give you a red-blooded classic American
style, but also you have plenty of Americana style brightwork to go
with it, too. The odometer represents the full actual mileage, but
the overall straight and clean look of this pickup tells its full
story of good care and investments over the years. Plus, the 4x4
stance, bed liner paint, thick rubber bed mat, and proper trailer
hitch are all there to remind you that this classic can still get
to work.
The red interior has been well-respected and remains comfy. As a
premium Silverado, you get the best features, like power windows,
power locks, factory air conditioning, a tilt steering column,
cruise control, and a sliding rear window. It's a highly stock
setup, right down to the working courtesy lights. But here are the
right handy upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo, cup holders, and
thick rubber floor mats (always great to contain muddy boots.)
One of the big reasons you want a more modern classic pickup is
under the hood. After all, modern fuel-injected power on the
5.7-liter V8 is an advantage we all want. Plus, this newer
generation of Silverado was the first to offer an independent front
suspension on the 4x4 drivetrain. That means you still get the
go-anywhere prowess, but when you're just riding in the city, this
is much more comfortable than other classic 4x4s. In fact, there's
power steering, power brakes, front discs, a four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive to make this a great pickup for travels
near or far.
We all are looking for a well-preserved pickup that can turn heads
and still get to work. But only one person can grab this deal. Call
