1965 Mercury Comet Caliente 2dr Hardtop. Solid CA car now residing
in TN. 289 V8, Automatic Transmission, AM radio & Added American
Racing Alloy Wheels. Car is solid/straight and has been repainted
it's original color in 2-stage base/clear and is a strong 8 out of
10 for quality. The paint has also been ceramic-coated by the
owner. This car was born with an automatic shifter on the steering
column, but has been professionally modified to an automatic
shifter in the floor. In fact, it's so well done it will fool one
into thinking it's a manual shift car :) It was also born with a
black vinyl roof, which was long-since removed by the prior owner
before it was painted. This car starts easily, shifts thru all
detents as it should. It has a mild throaty quality to the exhaust.
The Caliente is the same body style for the Cyclone. If you add a
Cyclone hood this would be even MORE aggressive/sexy looking in my
opinion. American Racing Alloy Wheels are new. Tires have good
rubber. The Caliente was always a step up from the standard Comet
with much nicer details. Please Note The Following **Vehicle
