The GMC Truck marque first made its appearance at the New York Auto
Show in 1912. GMC produced just 372 units that year. That was the
beginning of a much larger vision as GMC has been a leading truck
manufacturer for now over 100 years. In 1916, a GMC truck crossed
the country from Seattle to New York City in thirty days. 10 years
later, a 2-ton GMC truck drove from New York City to San Francisco
is just 5 days. During the second world war, GMC produced over 600,
000 trucks for use by the United States Armed Forces. GMC has
remained synonymous with the word truck and to this day builds the
best in the business.
The 1970 GMC Pick up 4 X 4 offered here is a very useful example
powered by its 350 V8, automatic transmission and proven 4 Wheel
Drive system. The truck was restored 500 miles ago and was removed
from the frame at the time. The Truck comes with a detailed photo
album that shows the depth of restoration and process. It is
finished in its factory Ochre over a neat and tidy interior with
new carpet. The truck has a tow package, dual exhaust, 33x12.5R15
tires, power steering and power brakes, headers, beautiful chrome,
electric cooling fans, aluminum intake and Holley carburetor.
The truck runs and drives great and is ready to complete any
task.
