This splendid 1948 MGTC was purchased in Oceanside, California in 1968 and won Best in Class in the Fallbrook Vintage Car Show shortly after its inauguration. The vehicle was carefully stored until 1980, when meticulous disassembly and bagging of parts began. A full frame-off restoration was initiated in 1989 and was completed in the early 1990s. The frame was reinforced and powder-coated, the wood carriage structure was completely replaced, and the vehicle renewed with fresh paint, new dash and interior, rechroming of bright bits, and respectful engine modifications (including shaved heads, hardened valve seats, lightened flywheel, and more). The TC returned to win Best in Class at the Fallbrook Vintage Car Show after restoration was complete, and was then garaged in luxurious repose for almost three decades, until refreshment was undertaken and completed in 2022. This rare vehicle is a gorgeous example of a well-sorted TC with a recent refresh of all systems.
