Vehicle Description
1974 Mercedes 450SEL. Current tags, clean title, runs and drives
great - no issues whatsoever. Price is negotiable, come check it
out! This Mercedes has recently been brought back up to spec and is
running excellent. Fuel injection system has been gone through:
Fuel Pump was rebuilt, new fuel filter, auxiliary air valve was
rebuilt, fuel injector trigger points have been cleaned and
rebuilt, new air hoses throughout the system, and new air filter
installed. Starts right up in all conditions and idles and drives
wonderfully. Engine is super healthy. This is a fairly low-mileage
car with around 125,000 miles. These Mercedes V8's are very
reliable and are often called Mercedes's best V8. Timing Chains
were inspected and are essentially in brand new condition - no
stretch whatsoever. Valve cover gaskets have been replaced.
Ignition system has been gone through. New spark plugs, wires,
distributor cap and rotor. Timing was adjusted to Mercedes
specification. Thermostat was replaced. Cooling system is in great
shape, vehicle never overheats. Air conditioning works - could
probably use a recharge, but cold air does come through vents.
Brand new set of General Tires all around. Around 100 miles on
tires. Brakes are good. New rubber rear brake hoses have been
installed. Rear Sway Bar links are brand new. Interior is decent.
The Dash is in very good shape, no cracks. Driver's window needs a
lot of help to go up or down. Sunroof only opens about half way.
The rear parcel shelf's carpet is pretty ugly from the Southern
California sun. The rear seat is not in great shape - it can use a
restuffing - but no tears in any of the seats. Radio works great.
Paint is not in the best of shape as well. One side looks amazing,
but the other side, along with the trunk and roof, are faded. This
car was sitting for many years with the previous owner and the sun
took a toll on the sides that were facing towards it. But the body
is super straight, and there is absolutely zero rust
