When you want a speedy pony car, but also looking for true
distinction, a well-done 1967 Plymouth Barracuda is just the
ticket. With enhanced 383 V8 power, a sharp presentation, and far
rarer sheet metal than anything from Ford or Chevy, it's the
perfect way to fit into any classic car crowd while still standing
above the rest.
The paint on this coupe was updated later in life, but it still
holds close to Plymouth's Bright Blue. And this theme of good
updates with an eye for classic style is exactly the right theme
for this Barracuda. The blue retains a good gloss to show off the
good sheet metal. And the design of this gen Barracuda is truly a
standout. It has a unique c-pillar that gives this a great-looking
hardtop and a fastback profile. Good chrome bumpers and correct
Barracuda badging give you the right classic feel. Plus, there's
the right performance vibe from the hood trim, dual exhaust tips,
and Plymouth hubcaps with color-matched blue steel wheels.
The black interior has a clean look and a terrific vintage style.
Two wide rows of bench seats, nicely textured upholstery, a
wide/smooth dash, and a thin/grippy steering wheel make for the
right 1960s atmosphere. And the fold-down armrest gives you a very
individual driving experience. Plus, you'll also spot the right
well-placed upgrades for a good cruiser. It's everywhere from the
AM/FM radio with aux input to the auxiliary gauge trio under the
dash.
The engine bay has a very cool style where the exterior matching
blue gives you smooth inner walls, and then the correct Mopar blue
on the engine block is quite tidy to show off how distinctly
different it is. And the callout on top is very important. There
were a select few Barracudas that received the 383 cubic-inch V8,
and so this pays tribute with the proper big block upgrade. It also
upgrades the power and ferociousness with a four-barrel carburetor
and an upgraded cam that gives a nice tune to the X-pipe dual
exhaust. It's also easy to spot the right supporting components,
like an HEI distributor and an Optima red top battery. There are
also good driving features like the KYB shocks, front disc brakes,
and the stout but smooth TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic
transmission.
This Mopar is an ideal mix of power, poise, and distinction, so
don't let it slip away. Call today!!!
