Vehicle Description
1972 Chevrolet C30 Dually is a genuine dump bed hauler. It has a
long history of being in the same family nearly all its life.
That's how you get an industrial machine that has been restored to
be one of the most interesting and useful classics out there right
now.
Trucks like this are a true rarity on the classic market. It was
built to be used up in a life of industrial duty, and so rarely do
they get the proper care. That's why we're so excited to see this
one. This C30 flatbed was purchased by the consignor's uncle in the
late 1970s, and it has remained in the family ever since. So while
it saw work duty, it also was respected and maintained. A great
example of proper respect is seen in the paint. This was resprayed
in the early 1980s, and it continues to have an impressive gloss
and shine. This shows off the kind of clean body panels you'd never
expect on an industrial machine. A bright chrome bumper, clean
glass, and the way the doors close with confidence are all part of
a package that will make people think this flatbed is just a fresh
build to mimic a workhorse. That's when you not only get to tell
them the full story, but also you can even demonstrate the
hydraulic activated dump bed. In fact, it's full of
commercial-grade useful features. There are top running lights,
large towing mirrors, a rear hitch, spotlights for the rear, and
wood stake sides for the flatbed. Plus, you have 8-lug Alcoa-style
wheels with the dully set in the rear. So it's not only fun for the
car shows, but there's a true earned respect and a capability that
will lend your business credibility just by putting its name on
these doors.
The interior has a clean look of proper care, preservation, and
investment. It has a very clean black style that also never loses
any of the classic feeling. You see it in the bench seat, smooth
door panels, and factory steering wheel. You have classic heater
controls, and even while the radio is upgraded to an AM/FM unit,
it's still pure retro-cool. So it all perfectly fits with this
truck's well-respected classic feel.
Under the hood is a year-correct 350 cubic-inch V8 block. And with
the history on this one, it's hard to believe this is anything but
the original powerhouse. It was rebuilt about 10 years ago to make
sure this remains a strong powerhouse. This is mated to a
four-speed manual transmission with a low granny first gear. And
the rear end is a 4.11 unit. So you develop some serious low-end
torque that knows how to move heavy loads. It's all part of the
reminder that while this one looks like a cool classic, it's also
still quite a useful industrial machine. Power steering, power
brakes, front discs, and an overall solid feeling on the road makes
it great no matter if you're using this as a real hauler or just a
rolling billboard.
This is the perfect total package for those who like getting
industrial-sized attention in their classic. After all, when was
the last time you saw a working classic dump truck? But what's
really impressive is that something this unique is also so
affordable. Call now!
