Vehicle Description
This vehicle is located at our Indianapolis location
The GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1951 Lincoln
Cosmopolitan for your consideration. This vehicle is an excellent
example for someone looking for a vehicle with the vintage patina,
but still mechanically well cared for. The radiant green poly paint
job of this vehicle does feature some chips and patina throughout,
but still presents well for the vehicle's age. The iconic suicide
doors of this vehicle give way to the textured green cloth interior
of this vehicle which for the most part is in good shape, with some
signs of wear throughout. This Lincoln is powered by a 336ci V8
which is paired with a 4-speed hydra-matic automatic transmission
which sends the power to the rear wheels. This vehicle currently
displays 76,787 miles on the odometer on this mechanically well
sorted Lincoln.
The Lincoln Cosmopolitan is a full-size luxury car that was sold by
Lincoln from 1949 through the 1954 model year. In 1949, Lincoln
introduced its first postwar bodies (the first product lines of the
combined Lincoln-Mercury Division); a Mercury Eight-based standard
Lincoln and a larger "senior" Lincoln Cosmopolitan utilizing an
exclusive body and wheelbase. The two Lincolns were the result of a
last-minute revision to Ford's original postwar plans for small
(Ford), medium (Ford-based Mercury) and large (Lincoln) car
variants. Price does not include applicable tax, title, license,
processing and/or $199 documentation fees.
