Vehicle Description
We don't get very many opportunities anymore at classics like this
1974 Pontiac LeMans. It's a cool V8 cruiser with a distinctly sleek
style. So while the sightings are rare, the appeal is
undeniable.
Pontiac took their time getting the four-gen LeMans to look
imposing. The point of the front end expands its well-creased style
through the hood and into the door line. The headlights are a
bridge between the extended fenders and recessed grille. And the
rear does a great job of having a crisply sharp style while also
giving you sleek lines. Oh yes, this coupe has style. Plus, they
invested $1,040 in 2019 for a new black vinyl roof, and so it
really showcases the now-iconic Colonnade roofline. It all makes
for a stand-out appearance on a true classic. The stock bumpers,
badges, wheel covers, and more all give a touch of time capsule
style that gets this LeMans added respect.
Just like the exterior, it's highly stock inside, but there are
some worthwhile investments. The headliner looks newer, and the
front seat was reupholstered with a maroon insert to coordinate
with the exterior. There's plenty of room to fit family and friends
across two wide rows of classic bench seating. But it also makes
sure to keep a true driver-oriented style with all the essential
pieces within easy reach. This includes the classic gauges,
upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for factory air
conditioning.
Under the hood is a true Pontiac 350 cubic-inch V8. It's even a
year-correct block. And we love the Pontiac motor because they were
built with a hardy kind of construction that the company adapted
for large displacements and high output versions. So it makes for
an honest look today and a ton of potential for tomorrow. And
because a LeMans is also a proper cruising classic, this comes with
features like power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a
three-speed automatic transmission.
Complete with the owner's manual, this car represents a great
opportunity. We see so few LeMans coupes from this era at the
shows, and so you can roll out of the showroom and be distinct at
the next Cars & Coffee. And the value price leaves room in your
budget to restore/personalize when you feel like it. So you can
really work on unlocking an outstanding shine out of the newer
paint, restoring the air conditioning, or doing other detail
upgrades. And because this has hardy GM underpinnings you know, we
bet there are many of you thinking about unleashing a powerful
motor tune-up or swap. This LeMans is fun on day one and has a ton
of potential for tomorrow. So don't miss out, call today!!!
