The Toyota pickup (Hilux) is a legendary vehicle that spans over 8 generations with significant modifications and improvements along the way. Over 345k trucks were produced in 1983 and were distributed across the globe. They are loved and cherished by all that seek them as they are extremely reliable under heavy use or even abuse. The legendary setup is one that will always be popular and desirable for the collector or hobby enthusiast.

Offered here is a total frame off, nut and bolt restoration with zero concern about cost. The restorer was told by the owner "Spare no expense" when completing this vehicle. It was done with an open checkbook and during the 14 month restoration period significant time and effort when into recreating the stock setup with some nice upgrades. Originally sold new in California and then most of the past 20 years been in Nevada. Restoration was done by a Toyota "guru" in southern California and custom engine work was performed that included jetted Weber carb and performance pistons and head work. All new A/C components were sourced and function properly.

Inside and out you could just about eat off and present this car to any car show for anticipation of bringing home the trophy in any large scale atmosphere. Complete body off paint job that was done to a very high standard and the period correct hockey stripes are aligned and applied to perfection. Inside the cab is all new with carpet, seats, door cards, dash pad, and even the cigarette lighter works. Few functions were inop (horn and radio). Sliding rear window is in excellent shape and even the dome light functions properly.

Exterior is like a work of art with the 15in gold wheels and new BF Goodrich tires that have great eyeball and really set this apart. Spray in bedliner also was done very well and proper factory jack and tools located behind the seat. There is so much to appreciate in this special truck that only the Toyota gear head will notice the extent of work put into this machine.
