this car.
Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this absolutely
stunning 2000 Mercedes CL500 in spectacular condition with only
91,230 miles. This Mercedes is completely "turn key" and I would
not hesitate to hop in this car right now and drive across the
country. The Obsidian Black over Saffron Leather color combination
is highly desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this CL. It
is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the
codes on the service sticker, which is pictured in this ad.
I have put more than 500 miles on this CL500 in the past month. The
car was a pleasure to drive and was flawlessly reliable. The car
comes with both original key remotes, the valet key, the original
owner's manual, and books. We have this Mercedes priced to sell and
are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable CL at
an unbeatable value.
This car has had only two owners since new. The most previous owner
of the car had it for nineteen years. He purchased it in April of
2003 with 13,846 miles for the price of $75,000. The current low
original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car,
but also the clear Ohio title that shows the mileage as "Actual."
Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information to
get a true sense of how nice this Mercedes really is.
As a side note, this CL500 is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classic and exotic
cars come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that
will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We
invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the
car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Mercedes, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Obsidian Black exterior is in excellent condition. As one can
see in the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, smooth finish,
and deep shine. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid
Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The car
exhibits great body panel fit overall. The original 17" alloy
wheels are in great condition with a brilliant finish. The tires
are literally brand new with less than twenty miles on them and are
correctly sized 225/55R17. There are no major imperfections that
have been excluded from the photos. There is a very tiny chip in
the windshield that was too small to show up in photos. This
Mercedes has always been stored indoors and the underside is also
very clean.
The car looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior
The Saffron Leather interior of the Mercedes is in fantastic
condition. The gauge faces are clean and crisp and the lenses are
crystal clear. The seats look just as good in person as they do in
the photos with just a small amount of wear in the typical area on
the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in
great condition with no rips or holes. The dash and console are in
great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. The wood grain
looks excellent with no delamination. The headliner is not sagging
or drooping at all. This Mercedes has never been smoked in; there
are no burn marks, no aroma of cigarettes, and the cigarette
lighter has never been used.
Lighter color interiors like this Saffron leather are not known to
wear well and the excellent condition of this interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has
received throughout its life.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Mercedes is in wonderful mechanical condition. The 5.0L V8
engine starts right away every time and runs great. The car drives
magnificently and feels great on the road and at highway speeds, it
drives just as well as you would expect from a well-maintained
grand tourer with low mileage. This Mercedes was built for the
Autobahn and can could cruise all day at speeds over 100mph with
incredibly smooth power delivery and comfort. In the video below
one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about
70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and
going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange
noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The
brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts well throughout the power band. The car runs
cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is
beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the
photos. The car is completely stock, has no modification, and is
totally unmolested.
Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work
properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go
off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or
other warning lights that stay on. The radio works as do the
exterior lights, interior lights, dash lights, seat heaters, seat
coolers, horn, wipers, and indicators. The sunroof works as it
should. The blower for the heater and a/c works on all speeds. The
a/c itself works and blows cold. All of the gauges work. The
cupholder does not always pop out correctly and the rear window
shade and parking sensors can be finicky. Not enough can be said as
to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car.
The car runs and drives as well as it looks.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 2000 Mercedes CL500 looks fantastic and is an awesome
car. The beautiful original color combination, excellent condition,
and the very low original mileage make this CL especially important
and very hard to duplicate. The Mercedes CL has been an iconic
model for decades and this 500 is truly a premium example. In our
opinion and based on our experience the C215 Mercedes CL class made
from 1998-2006 is rising in value and are becoming classics. This
is especially true for premium and low mileage examples like this
CL500. The value of these cars is going up and they are solid
investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle
for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with
minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call
