1996 DODGE RAM 1500 LIMITED EDITION 80th ANNIVERSERY INDIANAPOLIS 500 PACE TRUCK Limited Edition Indy Pace and SS/T Package - The Dodge Ram Indy Pace Truck was available in 1996. It included longitudinal stripes similar to those on the Dodge Viper along with an optional door sticker stating "Official Truck of the 80th Indianapolis 500". These trucks had a 5.9 L 360 cu in engine with upgraded exhaust and 15 hp more power. These also included 17-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle II 275/60R-17 tires. The Indy Trucks were available only in Brilliant Blue with white racing stripes. All include a specialty sticker on the inner door stating, "Built with pride in the U.S.A." A real Pace truck has a metal plate on the driver's side frame rail, with a raised number 19 on it. The height of the 1996 Pace trucks were designed to be only 71.9 inches, which was kept as low as possible to retain the vehicle's center of gravity as close to the ground as possible. All were manufactured at Dodge City Assembly (Warren, MI). This Ram, one of only 2802 made, has been pampered and retains all of it's original undamaged and rust free body panels. The odometer shows only 69929 miles thought to be original. The original wheels and tires have been replaced with aftermarket upgrade. The original radio has been replaced with a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X301 with AM/FM/Sirius Xm/Pandora/IHeart Radio compatible unit.
