Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle is the real-deal Super Sport upgraded
with shining paint, a beefed-up upgraded suspension, four-wheel
disc brakes, four-on-the-floor, and larger big block power. It
makes for the ideal mix of iconic classic style and road-owning
intimidation.
The burnt orange paint is a terrific upgrade for a car like this.
It has a bigger big block and a meaner growl so then it should also
have a more vibrant paint than stock to really show that it's an
all-around bolder machine. The metallic luster grabs your
attention, but it's the full package that really impresses. This
was thoughtfully done where the blackout SS grille seems to flow
directly into the matte black lower section that's separated from
the orange by the full-length rocker trim. The blackout rear panel,
deeply tinted windows, and a taut vinyl roof are done to match,
too. Chrome bumpers, bright bezels, and the full trim package give
you plenty of classic American brightwork. And the darkness and
shine come together nicely on the Coys alloys done in black chrome
wheels.
The full black interior goes with the exterior accents and its
style is always inviting in a muscle car. It has a clean and
complete look on the fundamentals, including a newer dash pad and a
good headliner. There are some features you can add like a modern
stereo, and this used to be an A/C car before the components were
traded in for added power. In fact, you can feel there is a
driver's environment in this coupe. It's a code 183 car, which
makes it a real-deal Super Sport. So you have nice SS-style
features like front bucket seats and a center console in-between.
There's also an upgraded sports steering wheel, power steering, a
Hurst shifter, and an under-dash auxiliary readout trio. And the
prominent column-mounted AutoMeter Sport-Comp Monster tach really
lets you know there's something special under the hood.
The callouts on the badging might say 396, but that's a bit of a
lie. This one is packing a much larger 454 cubic-inch big block.
The V8 looks great filling the engine bay with its big orange
block, bright valve covers with classic Chevrolet script, and an
overall tidy style. More than just looking good, this V8 has been
upgraded with a Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, and Hooker long tube headers
that feed a rumbling dual exhaust and Flowmasters. You'll also spot
good supporting components like a full MSD ignition system, steel
braided lines with AN fittings, upgraded hood hinges, and a large
aluminum radiator. You have complete control over the sound and the
fury of this total power package thanks to the four-speed manual
transmission and stout 12-bolt rear end. And as you look at the
rear, you'll also spot an upgraded suspension with stronger arms
and adjustable coilovers. And there's more upgraded control with a
Wilwood four-wheel disc brake setup and grippy ZR-rated sport
tires.
Fast, powerful, and absolutely cool, the only question is will you
be quick enough to grab this upgraded Super Sport before someone
else takes it home? Call now!
