Vehicle Description
Flash AND substance... that's what this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
427 tribute truly delivers. With slick paint, a sharp-looking
interior, an upgraded suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes, it
has all the right features you want in an impressive hardtop. And
the monster 468ci big block has a show-worthy shine and the power
to let this upgraded classic rule the streets.
The slick silver is a modern application that went on with a
professional hand. The clearcoat luster has an instant look of
quality that comes from a large investment. It really radiates as
the sunlight shows off the iconic body lines. Before the first drop
of the paint went down, it's evident they took extra time on the
body to give it a smooth look with excellent panel fit, which
allows for the doors to shut with confidence. And the only thing to
shine brighter than the silver is the chrome of the bumpers and
trim. And while the overall execution is award-worthy, you're also
going to love it for its full aggression. It has SS details like
blackout grille, power dome cowl hood, and Super Sport scripts on
the rear fender. Plus, for added aggression and shine, there are
the alloy wheels done with an 18/20-inch front/rear stance. Because
this one is so powerful, and those ultra-wide Mickey Thompson rear
tires provide so much grip, you also have a wheelie bar in the back
when it's time to be a quarter-mile king.
When you open the door, you're greeted with a custom red interior.
There's a premium feel with the well-bolstered TMI bucket seats
finished in leather. And the carpeting, door panels, headliner, and
dash all have the look of quality, too. There are even upgraded
comfort features including a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner, a cup
holders center console, and provisions for air conditioning (it
will require hookup to function.) But as comfortable as this is,
you also know it's no out to coddle. It's a performance build. The
rear seat was eliminated to make room for the reinforced rear
subframe. There's a Billet steering wheel, a tilt column, B&M
floor shifter, fire extinguisher, and AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges
mounted under the dash.
The engine bay continues the award-worthy style. You have smooth
and clean color-matched inner walls that funnel your attention to
all the polished components on this V8. While you'll be in awe of
the style, there's substance behind it, too. The 454 motor was
bored .060 over for a total of 468 cubic inches. And the power
upgrade doesn't end there. This V8 has been enhanced with Comp Cams
"Thumpr" camshaft, gear-driven timing gears, fabricated aluminum
valve covers, an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, and
topped with a ProForm four-barrel carburetor. The long tube headers
add power to the power while feeding the rumbling dual exhaust.
Plus, if you really want a thunder from this motor upgrade, just
open up the electric cutouts. The full package is supported by the
right accessories, like HEI ignition, a billet belt drive setup, a
BeCool aluminum radiator, and dual Optima red top batteries placed
in the trunk for better weight distribution. The motor is mated to
a three-speed automatic transmission that feeds a stout narrowed
Ford 9-inch rear. The reinforced rear end includes a ladder bar
suspension with adjustable coilovers. And you also have power
steering, Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes, and modern sports
tires. It makes for a seriously solid performance driver.
This is an all-around awesome build for those who have always
wanted an iconic hardtop and a big power package all in one. So
don't let something so complete slip away. Call today!!!
