This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS has the quality look of a rotisserie
restoration finished in 2021. But more than just rebuilding this
legend, they added some seriously desirable features, like a
stunning color combo, four-wheel disc brakes, a performance
suspension, and a professionally-built 450+ hp 383 stroker V8. It
makes for the kind of all-around build that delivers far more than
you dreamed a first-gen Camaro could be.
The build receipts document a fresh six-figure restoration on this
coupe. But even without the investments, we love this one for its
story. It spent nearly 30 years with the same owner, and in fact,
it was her first car. So you can understand the kind of connection
there where there would be the added time, money, and effort to
really get this one right. Tangerine Orange is a distinguished
choice for a car like this. It comes close to Chevy's Hugger Orange
but has an added radiance. It's the perfect way to announce a true
classic that has been elevated to a new level. And this fresh and
glossy finish loves to show off the show-ready style of this
straight and clean coupe. This has all the best Camaro elements
with mirror-like wraparound chrome bumpers, a super scoop cowl
hood, and spoilers for the chin and rear deck. Plus, we all love
the look of the hidden headlight front end. We don't have
definitive documentation that this is a real-deal Rally Sport. But
since this has spent more than half its life thus far under one
owner, and it was an RS when she got it, the confidence is high
that this is genuine. Everything on this car was done with care,
and so even though they want to upgrade you to better modern tires,
the larger 17-inch size is disguised by a classic Rally wheel
package.
The factory-correct black interior likes to remain quite vintage.
It stays as original as possible while refreshing the right pieces,
like the carpet, headliner, and dash pad. And you'll appreciate the
classic style right down to the details, including the wood-like
trim, working dome lights, and front headrests. There is room for
upgrades, but they make sure to fit in with the vintage atmosphere.
Plus, this has the best pieces for a driver's classic. You have
bucket seats up front, a dual-spoke RS steering wheel, power
steering, and a center console with a horseshoe shifter.
Under the hood is truly a dark heart of power. The black inner
walls of the engine bay lead to a black block with black valve
covers and a black air topper. And the overall tidy style tells
there was a nice investment here. This motor is a 383 cubic-inch
stroker V8. It's a full professional performance build that's as
fresh as the rest of the restoration. It includes a hydraulic
roller camshaft, aluminum heads, Edelbrock dual-plane aluminum
intake, and topped with Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. It's
also supported by the right stout equipment, like Billet serpentine
belt drive setup, HEI ignition, Optima red top battery, and an
aluminum radiator. The long tube headers add extra power while also
feeding the muscle sound of the dual exhaust. It's a full package
producing 452 horsepower and 476 ft-lb of torque, and we have the
dyno sheet to prove it! The undercarriage photos show a clean build
with terrific suspension upgrades like Ridetech Strong Arms
upper/lower front control arms, heavy-duty front/rear sway bars,
Ridetech adjustable coilovers, and a triangulated four-link rear. A
three-speed automatic transmission, 12-bolt rear end, four-wheel
power disc brakes (with Wilwood master cylinder), and the grip of
the modern ZR-rated tires make for a solid all-around performance
upgrade.
This is the all-around awesome build that you've always wanted. So
don't let a terrific coupe with a terrific history slip away. Call
