Fully sorted and ready to rock, this traditionally handsome C10 is
the beneficiary of acute, frame-up restoration that turned a solid
workhouse into a boulevard superstar! That thoughtful reboot was
decorated in custom two-stage that floats clean white rockers under
a glossy metallic gray profile. And, depending on the light, that
worldly pigment seamlessly transitions from warm jade to subtle
gold, to pure charcoal beneath a roster of timeless details. At the
front of the truck, a stainless-trimmed grille centers a bright
Chevy bowtie between H4 headlights, amber parking lamps and a
polished bumper. Above that grille, a sculpted hood fronts matte
wipers, which clear a tinted greenhouse that's reflected in factory
mirrors. Whittled panels trace traditional door handles, familiar
"CST" badging and vivid Chevrolet 10 emblems with bold side strips
and ornate markers. Stainless-trimmed wood frames a billet fuel
filler. And at the back of the truck, a "CHEVROLET" branded
tailgate rotates between halogen taillights and a second polished
bumper.
VORTEC POWER
When it comes to the perfect blend of power, reliability and
fixability, nothing beats a stalwart Chevy small block. With that
in mind, it seems perfectly logical that this C10 sports 5.3 liters
of proven Vortec motivation. At the top of that mill, a familiar
K&N filter cone feeds cool air into a polished tube that's
cinched to a standard GM throttle body. At the sides of the block,
Chevy Orange coil packs fire quality Taylor Spiro Pro plug wires,
which split coated Hedman Husler Hedders. Lucid serpentine
components spin modern GM power steering beneath a modern
alternator and a coated AC compressor. Dual SPAL puller fans cool a
beefy DeWitts radiator. Chevy Orange valve covers add a bit of
retro flair. And aesthetically, the compact mill seems right at
home in this Action Line's clean, body-matched engine bay.
STANCE DONE RIGHT
Bottom-side, a smooth 4L60E 4-speed spins a tough 12-bolt axle
that's built with a posi-traction differential and 3.73 gears. The
truck's factory chassis rides a carefully lowered suspension that's
been thoughtfully upgraded with thick sway bars. That slammed
skeleton gets steered through modern power steering. Quick stops
are a cinch thanks to a familiar combination of power-assisted
discs and drums. The aforementioned headers push exhaust through
aluminized pipes that are formed around throaty Flowmaster
mufflers. A steady stream of fossils is supplied by an aftermarket
tank. And at the corners, polished American Racing Salt Flats turn
245/45R20 Achilles Desert Hawks in front of 275/40R20 Achilles
Desert Hawks.
PLAID FTW!
When you pop this Chevy's doors, you'll find a tastefully
customized cockpit that, while decidedly stylish, honors the
truck's admirable legacy of being a rugged, no-nonsense workhorse.
Top dead center, a painted and capped dash frames crisp telemetry
next to modern Pioneer audio and cool Vintage Air conditioning.
Fade-free carpet frames stainless-trimmed pedals in front of a
super cool, plaid-laced bench. Vinyl and plaid side panels hang
traditional chrome handles over Pioneer kick speakers. And in front
