Nappa Leather Interior (Please note: If you happen to be viewing
this 2018 BMW M550Xi on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors

photographs of the car due to third-party website limitations. To

rear-drive bias to AWD system, easily blurs a landscape, relative
value in its class. - Car and Driver, First Drive, M550Xi, May 2017
Road & Track reviewers hailed the power: The engine delivers. If
judged on thrust alone, the M550i could be chiseled into 5-series
Mount Rushmore. BMW's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 routes 456 hp
through an eight-speed ZF automatic and all four wheels (rear-wheel
drive is not available). Turbo lag is imperceptible, with peak
torque-480 lb-ft-available from 1800 to 4750 rpm. BMW claims 60 mph
arrives in 3.9 seconds, quicker than the last-generation,
rear-wheel-drive M5. We think that figure is modest. Mashing the
throttle pedal recalls every interstellar travel sequence from
Seventies sci-flicks, slamming you into vision-blurring speed.
Motor Trend reviewers highlighted the comfort: There nothing not to
like about the M550i's cabin. It's as lovely as it is purposeful.
In addition to the rich leather, the cabin is trimmed in classy
Fineline Cove matte wood, aluminum trim, and an Anthracite-black
headliner. The standard-features list is as long as a Ken Burns
documentary.... Offered here is a 2018 BMW M550XI (all-wheel drive)
in Carbon Black metallic over Black Nappa leather. A Carfax
one-owner, the BMW's extensive list of standard and optional
equipment-including a full range of passive driver-assistance,
active driving assistance, and parking assistance features-is
listed on the original window sticker (and included in the gallery
for reference). Showing 38,677 miles on its odometer, the car has
traveled fewer than 13,000 miles per-year since being delivered new
at Erhard BMW of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. In every respect, this
M550XI has been perfectly maintained. The deep, reflective,
dark-blue metallic exterior paint exhibits a like-new finish:
perfectly even, free of surface flaws, and as impressive as BMW
paint usually is. All body panels-including lower-body panels-are
pristine. (To best assess the quality of the paint and trim
finishes, please be sure to view the close-up photographs of the
car in the accompanying gallery.) Every other aspect of the car's
exterior is equally impressive: chrome trim on the kidney-shaped
grille, matte-black air intakes, brushed-metal trim on the lower
front fascia, mirror caps, and bodyside brake-vent trim (near the
front fender). Tinted cabin glass is flawless as are all the
lighting lenses. Tasteful badging is limited to the X-Drive badge
and M-Performance M550i emblem on the trunk lid, and the BMW
blue-and-white roundel logo centermost front and rear. M
Light-Alloy, 19-inch, 10-split-spoke wheels are mounted with
Pirelli® Cinturato P7 245/40 tires. The wheels feature BMW-logo
center caps and M logo molded into the surface; the open-wheel
design allows views of the blue-painted, M-branded brake calipers
and ventilated brake rotors. The BMW's interior appointments are
every bit as special. Horizontal-grain, dark wood inlays grace the
door trim, console, and dashboard. A jet-black headliner covers the
ceiling. Seat upholstery is a very handsome combination of
diamond-stitched Nappa leathers with white piping and white
deviated stitching. Black carpeting covers cabin floors with both
carpet mats and hard-plastic floor-protection trays also included.
