V8 -Automatic -A/C -Super Nice and "turn-key" Ready!
Many of us have "Mustang Memories"! This one was built at the Ford
Rouge Plant in Dearborn Michigan on July 14, 1965. (I Can't Get No)
Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones was the number one song in the
USA and the Ford Mustang was climbing fast to become what some have
said (57 years later) is "the most popular collector car ever"!
This well-cared-for Mustang Coupe has a really great overall
presentation. You will be proud to take it to the weekend car shows
and cruise events to show it off! Air conditioning in the early
Mustangs is not common although you'll really appreciate that this
one has it on those fun summer outings. Power Steering and Brakes
make this one super easy to drive. The C-4 Automatic Transmission
shifter is found on the optional center console. The optional
Styled Steel Wheels look excellent. He tells us that to the best of
his knowledge, it does not need anything for you to enjoy from the
day it arrives at your home. Please read what our seller has to say
about it:
"It was previously owned by a couple in Indiana who I believe had
it repainted in Sunlight Yellow which is an authentic '65 Mustang
color although not the original which was Prairie Bronze. The
Sunlight Yellow exterior beautifully complements the Palomino (tan)
interior. The engine is a rebuilt 289 V8 (just over 15,000 miles)
which is original for the car, it is a 4bbl carb and does have
power steering and brakes. It has factory Mustang A/C as well.
The car runs very well and has been gently used. About the only
thing, I've done in the six years that I've owned it, is taken it
out for regular spins in the neighborhood to give the engine a
little exercise. I've kept it securely stored in my garage at all
times, and during the winter it's covered and hooked up to a
(trickle) charger". On a "10" scale I would give it a solid
"8".
He tells us that he has enjoyed his Mustang "immensely" during the
six years he's owned it. He is including with the sale the
following items: 1965 Mustang Owners Manual, Sales Brochure, AM/FM
Radio Owners Manual, a tube of touch-up paint with a copy of the
paint formula, a battery trickle charger, and a car cover. Come on
in and check this one out in person, you'll love it too!
