1949 CHEVROLET TIN WOODY This incredible 1949 Chevrolet Tin Woody
with just over500 miles was commissioned by private a individual to
Charlie Hutton for the execution, fit, finish and one-off custom
mix red color paint. Pinkies Hot Rods executed the chopped top and
laser straight body finish. The exquisite realistic wood grain was
applied by Paul Stoll. The hand finished stainless steel moldings
were tooled by Little Louie. Wiring by Kenney's Rod Shop. Chrome
was by El Monte Chrome. Only the best qualified professionals were
teamed up for this build. Power is a GM Performance LS2 364ci 5.9L
400HP 10.9:1 crate motor that is topped with a custom fabricated
cover and is fitted into the jewel like engine area that is
smoothed and sleek. A Street and Performance 4L60 transmission
carries the power to the 9" Currie rear end that is polished. The
engine compartment is designed to conceal most wiring, hoses and
lines to create the clean appearance. The road worthy driving is
guided with a Heidt's Super Ride II front end with power steering
and 4 wheel power disc brakes. The ultra comfortable interior is
fashioned by Gabe Lopez in a subtle camel color with power front
bench seat, rear seat, rear compartment and headliner. The rear
floor is carpeted as well as the passenger compartment flooring.
Fitted individual floor mats protect the carpeting. The rear
provides storage compartment and battery compartment. Power windows
are actuated with conventional appearing crank handles. The
smoothed dash features all essential controls, era correct vertical
dial radio, AC vents, speedometer and clock. A tilt steering column
is topped with a matching Billet Specialties wheel. Toyo tires are
mounted on polished Billet Specialties wheels. Essential features
and components utilized are: Top chopped 2-1/4" Windshield angled
1-3/4" Rear window angled 1" JBA Headers Flow Master ceramic coated
exhaust HGM Automotive Electronics COMPUSHIFT Vintage Air, Super
