For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet C10 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

Introduced as a more approachable follow-up to GM's legendary Task Force pickups, the Chevrolet C/K has become a beloved automotive icon that's won enthusiasts, spawned a giant aftermarket and even inspired festivals! In fact, early C10s are so popular that they're ever-present in every corner of the classic car hobby, from customs and pro-touring resto-mods to mini truckin' and street legal stock cars. More traditional than transformative, this razor-sharp Chevy backs 454 cubic inches of all-American power with vibrantly vivacious aesthetics. And if you like your classic to be head-turning AND fun to drive, it's a great candidate for your next cruiser!

GLOWING CHARISMA

Fully sorted and ready to roll, this super cool Chevy walks a fine line between sport and shine. Under the truck's vibrant two-stage, a solid fuselage hangs clean panels that appear straight and well aligned. And that body's combination of great reflections and flat surfaces suggest quality certainly took precedence over time. At the front of the truck, a flashy grille stretches bold "CHEVROLET" lettering between clear parking lamps, traditional headlights and a chromed, Cheyenne-spec bumper. Above that grille, a subtle Cowl Induction Hood, relieved of its bowtie, points to a lightly tinted greenhouse, which hangs Cheyenne-spec window trim behind matte stainless wipers. At the sides of that glass, a smooth profile centers polished C10 handles, polished bowtie mirrors and a Cheyenne-spec fuel cap between bright Cheyenne badging, clear markers and ornate, Cheyenne-spec rocker guards. At the center of that flash, a Cheyenne-spec cargo lamp lights a painted bed, which floats polished stainless hardware between filled stake pockets and simply massive inner fenders. And at the back of the truck, factory taillights corral a "CHEVROLET" branded tailgate over a second chrome bumper and polished exhaust tips.

BIG CHEVY POWER

Pop the hood and you'll find 454 cubic inches of big block Chevrolet power! A perfect combination of oxygen and fuel comes courtesy of a coated Holley carburetor, which gets fed by braided Summit lines and a coated mechanical pump. That quality carb floats between a stylish black air cleaner and a choice Edelbrock Torker 2-R intake. At the back of that plane, a hot MSD Pro Comp distributor sequences spark between a convenient MSD coil and loomed MSD Street Fire Wires. Below those wires, tough iron heads center fabricated valve covers on coated Hooker tubes. In front of those tubes, tight belts spin a chromed alternator opposite a chromed AC compressor. Cooling is provided by a color-keyed aluminum radiator that's paired with a billet expansion tank and an electric puller fan. That roster of proven components is seated in a massaged engine bay that's decked in a sweet combination of Bright Red and Gloss Black skin. And that striking pigment is dotted with details like painted closeouts, a polished breather, a polished thermostat housing, polished timing components and an Optima gel cell battery.

LOOKS GREAT, DRIVES GREAT

Behind that trusty big block, a dressed and cooled Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed twists torque to a narrowed 12-bolt axle. Everything rolls low and mean on a factory-style front suspension, which stretches a thick sway bar opposite a ladder bar rear suspension. Fluid power steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. Quick stops come courtesy of four power-assisted Wilwood calipers, which milk a familiar Wilwood master cylinder and a handy Wilwood proportioning valve to squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers feed aluminized pipes, which growl through rowdy MagnaFlow mufflers. And power meets the pavement through gorgeous Budnik Gassers, which spin 245/40ZR20 Delinte Thunder D7s in front of positively massive 29x18.00R20 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs.

CUSTOM CHEYENNE COMFORT

Swivel the doors and you'll reveal a tastefully restored cockpit that's classy in all the right ways! Tight red vinyl dresses a Chevrolet-branded bench that's customized for both comfort and durability. A monochromatic dash hangs crisp Dakota Digital VHX telemetry beside controls for cool Vintage Air conditioning and discreet modern audio. Cheyenne-spec carpet frames Cheyenne-spec pedals between big kick speakers and deep, CST-spec door panels. And the driver spins a color-keyed Billet Specialties Draft wheel around a tilting column.

It's no wonder the C10 continues to be one of the market's most popular options for stylish, all-American transportation! With sweet aesthetics, epic swagger and muscle car streetability, this Chevy is the perfect combination of form and function. Call your friends at http://www.RKMotors.com for more information!
