Vehicle Description
1964 Ford F100 For Sale - Complete NASCAR Truck Style Chassis, Ford
Racing 347ci V8 LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1964 Ford
F100 The first official NASCAR SuperTruck Series race took place on
Feb. 5, 1995 at Phoenix International Raceway. A total of 33 trucks
took the green flag to kick off the next chapter in NASCAR history.
Throughout the years, the series continued to grow and attract new,
young drivers starting out their NASCAR careers. Sprint Cup stars
such as Greg Biffle, Kurt and Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin
Harvick and Brad Keselowski all got their starts racing in the
Truck Series. The previous owner of this beautiful Ford F100 loved
the look and performance of those NASCAR trucks but wanted to be
able to drive it on the street. They started with an original 1964
Ford F100 and discarded the original chassis for a complete NASCAR
truck style chassis. The suspension setup is very similar to a spec
NASCAR truck with tube down bars that attach the Penske double
adjustable shocks. In the rear it uses a 9-inch rear end with
trailing arms/Panhard bar. Under the hood, is a Ford 347ci crate
engine topped with Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads and intake
producing approximately 450hp. Exhaust exits the side of the truck
through NASCAR style boom tubes which sound incredible. Shifting
duties are handled by a Richmond 6-speed manual transmission with a
Hurst Shifter. Four-wheel disc brakes hide behind the Bassett
Racing steel wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires. This F100
was refinished in a beautiful Blue metallic paint with new chrome
bumpers, grill, and trim. A custom tonneau cover was built for
aerodynamics along with a small rear spoiler. The interior has been
updated with a pair of Sparco bucket seats with Simpson harnesses,
Autometer gauges, Grant steering wheel and air conditioning. I
guess the question you need to ask yourself is, who wouldn't want
to drive a street legal NASCAR truck on the road? Additional
