This 1997 Stewart & Stevenson M1078 2.5-ton 4x4 truck is a Light
Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) powered by a CAT 3116 intercooled
fully mechanical turbo-diesel engine paired to an Allison 7-speed
push-button automatic transmission. Features central tire inflation
system axles, air drum brakes, and 12V and 24V split system. Fuses
have been converted to pop filament fuses, and the relays have been
replaced. Other features include aftermarket LED headlights,
halogen bulbs for all other lighting, 7-pin cylinder trailer air
brake and 360-degree pintle hitch, flatbed with underbed storage
and drop sides, tilt steering wheel, manual windows, driver's door
factory air bag and fully functioning gauges/switches/knobs. It
also features a new spray liner paint job in Desert Tan and a stock
green interior, removable gun turret hatch and M16 rifle storage
rack. This LMTV has 5,168 actual miles.
