Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) documented 1965 GTO Hardtop for sale. PHS documents confirm this GTO was ordered with paint color code “P”, ‘Iris Mist’. This is a rare Pontiac one year only production color. This GTO has a YS period correct 389 with Tri Power (4 barrel rated at 335 hp, tri-power rated at 360 hp), Muncie four speed with Hurst shifter. In this case, matched with a 3.23 rear axle ratio. This GTO has power disc brakers, power steering, wood steering wheel, center console, seat belts, dual exhaust, rally gauges with tachometer. Recent improvements include, new alternator, new battery with new battery cables, new heater core, electric cooling fan, oil pan gasket and new rear main seal, fuel pump, all new body mounts, new rear springs, rear shocks, new rear sway bar with boxed lower control arms, tach repaired and all gauges work, AM/FM radio with Pontiac correct face plate and CD player, new 15x7 Crager SS wheels and 215/R70-15 Michelins tires.
