Vehicle Description
STK 3118 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan
Back in 1956, Ford produced many versions of their full-size model
- their only model. This Fairlane Club Sedan with its fully chromed
front end, stylish taillights and subtle rear fins was 1956 to
perfection. Our current owner has been the caretaker of this '56
Club Sedan for over 20 years. A full restoration was completed in
2000. Based on the data plate, the careful respray was done in the
factory colors - Raven Black and Colonial White (A/E codes).
Exterior accents include plenty of chrome, windshield sun visor,
front/rear bumper guards, rear fender skirts and Broadway Classic
15" radial white-walls with period-correct Black Knight full wheel
covers. The interior has split front seat (power driver),
rolled/pleated black and white vinyl upholstery, tinted windows and
a classic dash with aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette stereo package and
original gauge package. According to the VIN, this Club Sedan left
the factory with a 223ci six-cylinder powerplant (A-code), but the
owner states that it is now powered by a 312ci 'Thunderbird' V8.
The Y-block has been rebuilt and fitted with a new 650 Holley
4-barrel carburetor. It is backed by a 3-speed automatic
transmission and stock differential with new components. In '56
Ford also upgraded their models from 6-volt electrics to a 12-volt
system. The chassis is equipped with power steering and manual
4-wheel drum brakes. Look at the photos again - the attention to
detail applied to the restoration is outstanding. This Ford Club
Sedan is ready for a new owner who will appreciate the beauty,
style and fine restoration of this full-size classic. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
