Vehicle Description
1971 Volkswagen Westfalia campervan The bus is a project but is
mostly done. It needs a rebuild of the transmission(comes with 2 71
3 rib transmissions) along with some some small finishing work.
Does not drive because the trans. New professional built engine.
This bus comes with a freshly built 1776cc with 0 miles and an
electric ignition and alternator upgrade. This bus comes with all
the parts needed to finish it. You won't have to buy much if
anything. It comes with many extra part doubles also, probably a
lot more. I had a parts bus with this so I have some extra stuff
and new doubles I bought on accident, plus a tow bar, a bus cover,
extra carburetor, extra mirrors, extra jalousie windows, a few
extra lights, extra gauge cluster, extra rear hatch, an original
am/fm radio, extra wiper motor/mechanism, and lots of other stuff I
can't think of. New engine 0 miles New German starter New gas tank
5 new tires New high performance clutch New pop top canvas New
original style curtains New rear shocks (not installed) New battery
New Windshield and seal New throttle cable (not installed) New
clutch cable (not installed) New motor mounts Rebuilt rear axles
New floor and some wood paneling Refurbished original camper
interior Comes with rare kids cot and upper cot in the pop top
Comes with rare back hatch screen The body is ok but it does have
bondo. It's not a perfect bus. It looks fine at a distance but up
close the flaws are more obvious. All the doors open and close well
and while definitely not a show car it would make a good driver.
The interior was in good shape, so I had no need to recover the
camper seats(zbed and jump seat). The floors were redone, some of
the wood panels were redone, the best quality possible oem style
curtains were used, the cabinets were cleaned up and refurbished.
The fridge and sink were removed, but I used the spice rack and
swing out tray off it to begin to build an unfinished cabinet in
place of the fridge.
