EARL-ERA GM STYLINGFRESHLY DETAILED & READY TO ENJOY! After
charting record production and sales for 1940, GMs cornerstone
Buick division posted even better results for 1941 under the
careful watch of division president Harlow Red Curtice, who went on
to become GM president from 1953 to 1958. Under Curtices able
leadership, Buick closely rivalled fellow GM division Cadillac in
terms of luxury, style, and engineering prowess. Buick production
was the fourth-highest in America from 1938 through the abbreviated
1942 model year and the redesigned 1941 models played a major role
in positioning Buick as the car line of choice for upwardly mobile,
performance-minded buyers with its entirely eight-cylinder model
lines and standard dual Compound Carburetion for the Series 50
Super and above. Featuring advanced Valve in Head OHV architecture
while most competing marques stuck with outdated L-head engines,
Buick offered six distinct model lines for 1941 with a wide array
of handsomely styled bodies available and a lower ride height for a
decidedly dashing look. Continuing to benefit from a beautifully
preserved, high-level restoration, this dashing 1941 Buick Super
Model 56C Convertible Coupe is an outstanding and highly enjoyable,
collector-quality vehicle. Finished in striking gloss black paint
over beautifully contrasting Red leather upholstery, it benefits
from a freshly completed mechanical reconditioning. The robust
Buick inline 8-cylinder engine displaces 248 cubic inches and
develops 125 factory-rated horsepower and most importantly, a very
robust 278 pounds-feet of peak torque at just 2,200 engine
revolutions, in concert with a 3-speed manual transmission. Highly
desirable features and options include an AM radio and heater. A
freshly completed mechanical reconditioning and detailing ensure
this highly collectible vehicle is ready to enjoy to the fullest.
